Morse Code Clock

June 23, 2010 Gadget No Comments

It seems that no one uses Morse code anymore, I don’t even think the military teaches it like they did. Well you can be the lone man that stands against progress. Just make yourself the Morse Code Clock and you’ll keep your knowledge a whole lot more fresh. You never know when that could come in handy, come some apocalyptic situation and you might just have to teach the world how to use it all over again.

The clock works by just tapping it on the top when you’re ready to learn the time. After you tap it, it’ll show you what time it is by lighting up in a Morse code sequence. Of course you will be in danger of looking like a know it all when your friends ask you the time and you whip out your Morse Code Clock. You can look into how to do this by going here and you can watch a video of it in action.

Build Your Own Roller Coaster, COOOOLLLL!

June 13, 2010 Gadget No Comments

This has got to be the coolest kit out there, make your own fully functioning roller coaster, I don’t know what father would not want one of these for upcoming fathers day (if my daughters reading this then please start saving)

It includes the classic roller coaster loop and for added realism the shoulder restraints automatically move up and down at the operating station. The included software lets you ride the coaster from any seat position and also provides true coaster geeks with a much needed real0time G-Force information.

You can build you own roller coaster for $159.99 from Think Geek. To get a better idea of how cool it is check out the video after the jump

Japanese Burger King offers customers a “musical shower”

July 9, 2010 Gadget No Comments

Just when you thought the Aquanatass was the strangest appendage for the shower, you need to hear about the musical shower.

This isn’t about getting in the bathroom and being bathed with music. This is something completely non-aqua related, and it is only located at a Japanese Burger King.

See that transparent thing over the table? This is designed to deliver music to the person at the table, and designed only to be heard by them. Think of it as a Get Smart cone of silence, but I’m not certain if this would work so well either. … Continue Reading

Watch This Skyscraper Appear Out of Thin Air

August 24, 2010 Gadget No Comments

Now that’s a handy magic trick: Observe! This lot, empty but for the world’s largest augmented reality marker. Astonish! As a towering skyscraper flickers to life in its place. Wonder! At just how big a camera they must have needed.

The record-setting AR marker—Guinness-certified!—was dreamt up by architects at Königsberger Vannucchi, a Brazilian firm that wanted to give potential clients an augmented taste of what their proposed Fibrasa Connection development would look like. The result: a 360-degree, 3D rendering that beats the heck out of a pile of blueprints

This Hair Dryer Has a Ferrari Engine Inside

August 15, 2010 Gadget No Comments

This Hair Dryer Has a Ferrari Engine InsideThe new Conair BaByliss Pro Volare hairdryer packs an “engine” built with Ferrari’s team using real Ferrari parts. I’m just hoping that if I use the Volare my hair will ooze Italian sex appeal.

Apparently, the Volare is the first hair dryer to use a ball bearing design, which is supposed to keep things running smooth. It’s extremely lightweight, comes in Ferrari red (natch) or black and has a turbo button to boost airspeed. Its Ferrari designed AC V12 Engine packs 2,200 watts of power, can reach airspeeds of 80mph and can last for up to 2,000 hours. I’m no hairdrying expert, but those are some big numbers (typical hairdryers last 500 hours).

It’s expensive, retailing at around $400, but it’s way more affordable than a Ferrari. And if I can get a Ferrari attached to my name for $400, I might have to buy one.
