TV B-Gone Pro

June 24, 2010 Gadget No Comments

It has been 4 years since the TV B-Gone was released to irritate the heck out of salesmen and in one instance, wreck havoc at CES a couple of years back. Well, the nifty little device has just turned pro, coming in the form of the TV B-Gone Pro where it will cost you $49.99 each. This super high powered remote is capable of turning just about any TV on or off regardless of brand within a 110 meter radius, featuring more emitters than its less pro sibling. It features a touch activated switch that relays your intent to the targeted TV within seconds, and even boasts an instant reactivation feature that lets you turn off many TVs in quick succession, perfect for a prank at a large electronics store with your friend to see who can turn off the most TVs within the shortest time possible.

Astro A30 Metal Gear Solid Headset

June 9, 2010 Gadget No Comments

There are very few headsets out there that won’t make you look like a total dork. Sure, you might be seriously creaming the competition in a game, but you’re still going to look like a bit of a dweeb with that headset firmly on your head. Thankfully, there are the occasional headsets created that actually look pretty cool. This Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one that might just help you look a little tougher while you’re wearing it.

As far as the sound goes, it’s probably pretty decent. However, headsets and headphones are just one of those things no matter what the statistics state, it’s just better to test them out for yourself. Hopefully you can get a buddy to buy them first and then you can find out the verdict on them. These were just recently released in the US and can be picked up for $149. Of course they’ll also give you $20 voucher to purchase the game, which is nice.

Death Star Planetarium lights up your bedroom

June 25, 2010 Gadget No Comments

The Death Star may have been a dark and evil thing back in its time, but now it’s just so pretty. Instead of blowing up planets, this Death Star makes the stars shine brightly even while you’re still in your house. You don’t even need to go outside anymore, you can just sit inside with this Star Wars Death Star Planetarium and stare up at the stars.

This planetarium would also work as a night light for little kids who need comforted in the dark by something bright and shiny. Of course this isn’t advised for kids under 3 years of age due to choking hazards. To keep it powered it requires 3 AA batteries, that are obviously not included. Once this comes out in August you’ll be able to purchase one of these for $29.99. Of course if you’re feeling impatient you can go ahead and pre-order one now.

iCrystal iPhone Dock

June 11, 2010 Gadget No Comments

iCrystal Dock looks more like something you’d see in a science fiction movie rather than in your house. Which depending on your taste, could be good or bad. Frankly, it makes it a whole lot more appealing to me. Plus for those of you that like options, there are a few different colors that you can choose from when you’re purchasing the dock.

This iPhone dock from Speakal is definitely unique with the two spheres with an illuminated teardrop that lets off a pretty blue light. In my opinion the blue really stands out the best on the red set of speakers, with the other colors it looks a whole lot more subdued. If you’re not that into bright red, don’t worry this also comes in black as well as white. To keep it powered it requires 4 AA batteries. It also has a 3.5mm input that lets you plug in other devices. You can purchase this for $79.99.

2GB FlashHarp Playable Harmonica USB flash drive

June 20, 2010 Gadget No Comments

With Independence Day coming up, what better way to celebrate it than with the 2GB FlashHarp Playable Harmonica USB flash drive? After all, making music is always a good thing, and to do so while celebrating the birth of our nation is always a joyful thing. A combination of both a harmonica and USB flash drive ensures you can always upload photos of each year’s ID4 celebration onto it while using the same harp to play soulful tunes over and over again, making it a sweet gift to just about anyone – especially for those with musical inclinations. Personalization can be added for another $20, in addition to the $44.95 base price.
